PALAC GALINY – POLAND

Flexible programme and equestrian excellence in the northeast of Poland!

Palac Galiny is an unusual place, inscribed in a picturesque Masurian landscape. It was built for Baron Botho zu Eulenburg in 1589 and remained a rare example of Renaissance architecture, one of the best-preserved in the area of old Prussia.

It features a 16th-century Palace, the 19th-century Grange and a historic stable with over 50 horses; surrounded by a romantic park with over 300 hectares of forests, meadows, pastures and ponds, which allow you to enjoy long walks without leaving the grounds.

The riding school can cater to different levels, from beginner to experienced. They have spacious outdoor arenas and a quality indoor arena. Experienced riders will also enjoy stunning riding in the countryside!

The horses primarily consist of warm-blood types and Polish crosses. They have been breeding sport horses, Holsteiner and Westphalian horses, since 1998. The estate’s homebred horses have competed in championships both on a Polish and European level and in other parts of the world.

I stayed at Palac Galiny for a week mixing flatwork, jumping and countryside rides. The location is incredible, with massive land for outdoor riding, a cross-country course, and multiple indoor facilities. I really enjoyed the riding and the horses. Patricia was such a fantastic instructor. However, the room was rustic, and the food could have been better.
